"Careful the tale you tell; that is the spell..."
--Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods
What exactly is magic?
I believe that magic is the art of Will Made Manifest. The human spirit is indomitable-- when focused, it will prevail. History is made by powerful souls who decide that things will change. Even our language is full of references to magic. "The enchanting performer worked her magic on the crowd, and they were spellbound." We even cast votes. I've come to believe that these aren't analogies or exaggerations-- I think magic is an element of our cultures, our languages, and our lives.
I am a witch. This is my Craft. These are my Castings.
